More than 10,000 people attended the Arrecife Summer Fest on El Reducto beach, a musical event aimed at all generations to enjoy healthy leisure. Under the direct organization of the Department of Tourism and Commerce of the capital's City Council, led by Councilor Eli Merino, the Arrecife Summer Fest achieved great success in terms of attendance and positive assessment by the thousands of people who crowded the central beach of the capital of Lanzarote.
This musical event lasted six intense hours, from six in the afternoon until twelve at night, in which several prominent DJs played: Abian Reyes, Javi Fajardo, Ángel Pérez, Ale Ossorio and Luca de Tena. In addition, this dynamizing proposal featured dancers from dance schools, with many other surprises where the attending public could put on makeup, and take away photos or videos captured from the catwalk next to the Arrecife beach.
This healthy leisure proposal, next to the beach, and in the main restaurant and terrace area of the capital of Lanzarote, as detailed by Mayor Yonathan de León, and the Councilor for Tourism and Commerce, Eli Merino, seeks to relaunch and position Arrecife as the capital of healthy leisure in Lanzarote.
This first edition was also enlivened by prominent DJs and two award-winning schools from the Canary Islands: Escuela de Danza Daniel de la Rosa and Xtreme UP Dance Studio.
Municipal project to help commerce and the hospitality sector
In the presentation prior to the media, the mayor and the Councilor for Tourism and Commerce, highlighted that during this new term they will be working to strengthen actions to support the hospitality and commerce sector of the capital. A global project that includes a powerful investment plan in public works to transform the urban image of Arrecife, the dynamization of the city and neighborhoods with events and activities that recover public spaces as meeting places for the population and visitors for their leisure, fun and healthy living activities.
El Reducto beach will continue to be a neuralgic point of the leisure proposals of the Arrecife City Council where, in addition, Mayor Yonathan de León remarked, it is desired that, in parallel, and throughout the year, the capital's neighborhoods will host many dynamizing activities that will revert to support for commerce and hospitality established in those places.
The mobility in the evening of the more than 10,000 attendees allowed them to pass through Avenida Fred Olsen with security and normality, after the reopening to traffic of Calle Manolo Millares. This strategic road in the southern exit of Arrecife, towards the Airport, is being transformed in an integral way in the section between the Colegio La Destila and Calle Guenia, a parallel to the maritime front of El Reducto where there are multiple hotel and commercial activities.
The Arrecife City Council carried out a deployment of the cleaning service to leave the beach and surrounding areas completely clean and free of waste, including washing the sidewalks and public roads.
The security deployed by the Arrecife City Council, whose Local Police is under the direct direction of the mayor, contributed to the thousands of attendees enjoying a safe environment. The municipal organization also installed, as established by the City Council's protocol, a Violet Point.
