Maru Cabrera offered this Thursday at the House of Culture of Yaiza her first concert in the municipality, also on a very special date, the International Day against Gender Violence, where the sensitivity of art has much to say and contribute, the Lanzarote singer-songwriter demonstrated it through her poems inspired by the lives of people and their love relationships, not without pain, but also true, injections of hope and overcoming.

The artist closed in an unbeatable way the program of workshops, talks and performances Yaiza in Equality, with which the City Council wanted to make its campaign against gender violence more visible by raising the flag of education and culture as unquestionable transforming agents of society.

Maru Cabrera's lyrics move, her guitar accompanies the creative repertoire that subtly invites critical thinking. The public enjoyed an intimate, warm concert in Yaiza, and the grateful attendance gave the best reward for an artist: a final ovation. The Councilor for Culture and Equality of Yaiza, Daniel Medina, appreciates the participation of the artist and the response of the public. "We have already said it, awareness about respect and equality is not a matter of a day or a year, so our goal is to maintain educational, cultural and sports activities to help educate in values, and art will always be in Yaiza as a vehicle of transmission," adds Daniel Medina.
