On the afternoon of last Friday, August 18, the residents and visitors of the town of Los Ancones celebrated the traditional maritime pilgrimage in honor of their patron saints.
At 8:30 p.m., from the vicinity of the festival tent, the tour began through the different streets of the town with the Virgin of Nuestra Señora de Candelaria, who was
accompanied by the 'Los Curbelos de Tahíche' parranda. During the same, the pilgrims enjoyed a cheerful and participatory afternoon. In the festival tent, the parranda offered the Virgin songs with devotion in her honor, setting the rhythm on a night of celebration.
Later, the 'Juanito y Guillermina' Parranda Night began with performances by the folk group 'El Lagar de Teseguite' and Altaja'. In addition, the event was accompanied by an enyesque, which neighbors, visitors and the board of directors of the town's neighborhood association brought to celebrate the event with a variety of typical Canarian products.
