Legendary premiere for the EMEC Festival at the Castle of San José

Hundreds of people enjoyed a proposal articulated around gastronomy, sustainability and local and international myths of music

A legendary premiere for the EMEC Festival at the Castle of San José

"Something new and different has been born in Lanzarote". This was one of the most repeated phrases among the hundreds of people who enjoyed a unique and unrepeatable day around the first edition of the EMEC Festival, held during Saturday at the International Museum of Contemporary Art, MIAC-Castillo de San José.

Between 3:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m., the old Hunger fortress of Arrecife sheltered a transversal proposal articulated around the island's primary sector, through a gastronomic proposal made from local products; sustainability, and good music from myths of island disco music, such as Maxi Ferrer, Basilio Coco, Ángel Pérez, Javi Fajardo and Checha Tambo, and international references of electronic sessions such as Melanie Ribb, WAFF and the Italian Silvia Loto, who embarked at the last minute on an "unforgettable adventure", reports the Tourist Center.

This first edition of EMEC will remain in "the memory" for how novel a musical session open to all audiences was, which took place in parallel in different spaces: both the interior of the restaurant and the esplanade of the Castillo de San José became immense dance floors where DJs and the public gave it their all until the early hours of the morning in the middle of neon tubes and powerful beams of light.

EMEC is the first dance music festival to be held in Lanzarote with the guarantee of the GreenWorld brand seal, the center comments.
