Lava Live Festival presented its 2025 results dossier at an event held this Wednesday at the new offices of Preventos Media in Arrecife, where the festival's consolidation as one of the major cultural and economic drivers of the Island was evident.
The meeting brought together institutional representatives, sponsors, and collaborating companies, who backed a project that has achieved an outstanding rating in its latest edition, both for its social impact and its ability to promote Arrecife as an emerging cultural capital
Following the presentation of the official data from the last edition – in which the event's promoters highlighted the project's growth thanks to the satisfactory response from the public of Lanzarote and the Canary Islands, and the decisive role of the communication and social media strategy in the festival's expansion – Oswaldo Betancort, president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Ángel Vázquez, minister of the Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism, and Yonathan de León, mayor of Arrecife, took the floor.
The three representatives agreed in emphasizing that Lava Live Festival "has become an example of public-private collaboration and a driver of revitalization for the capital of Lanzarote."
To conclude the event, the solidarity check was presented to the Pastinaca Underwater Activities Club, a non-profit club dedicated to promoting underwater activities and respect for nature. The club received the funds raised from non-returnable cups during the 2025 edition, reaffirming the festival's commitment to sustainability and the protection of the island's natural environment.
Lava Live 2025 in numbers
The Lava Live Festival 2025 dossier confirms that the event has established itself as a cultural movement capable of attracting thousands of people to Lanzarote to enjoy music, entertainment, and the island as a destination. The last edition brought together 40,000 attendees, from 43 nationalities and with an audience from all regions of Spain, a clear indicator of its growth and projection capacity.
The festival was rated outstandingly by the public. The overall average score reached a 9.1 out of 10, with a satisfaction rate of 99.7%, reflecting practically unanimous approval. Furthermore, 91.8% of attendees considered the experience to have exceeded their expectations, while 83.2% stated they would return without hesitation and 83.7% would recommend it to family and friends. This combination of satisfaction, repeat attendance, and recommendation consolidates Lava Live as a memorable experience with high loyalty potential
Regarding the attendee profile, the data shows a diverse and balanced audience. By gender, the festival had a female majority, with over 62% women. By age, **over 47% of the audience was between 16 and 34 years old**, while over 41% were between 35 and 54 years old, demonstrating a wide generational range.
Likewise, the dossier highlights the presence of a significant percentage of people over 55 years old, including more than 1,101 attendees over 65 who accessed the concerts for free, which confirms that Lava Live's culture and music are capable of connecting with audiences of all ages.
Regarding origin, 75% of attendees were residents of Lanzarote, while the remaining 25% came from other islands, the mainland, and different countries, reinforcing the event's tourist dimension.
The economic impact was also notable, as the average spending per visitor stood at 245 euros, distributed among accommodation, gastronomy, mobility, and commerce, which contributed to generating **an economic impact of 14.3 million euros**. The return on investment reached 124.86%, consolidating the festival as an economic driver for the city and the Island.
The study also confirms that Lava Live is a positioning model for Lanzarote, as 97.8% of attendees consider the island to offer a great musical experience and 93% would recommend it as a destination for events of this type. These data project the Lanzarote brand associated with values such as modernity, culture, dynamism, and sustainability.
Lava Live Festival 2026: confirmed dates
Lourdes Santana, director of Artistic Production at Preventos Media, announced the official dates for the next edition: June 12 and 13, and July 24 and 25, 2026, with a program that will once again unite music, culture, gastronomy, sustainability, and an innovative city model that bets on local talent and international projection.
The Preventos Media and Grupo TSC team reiterated their gratitude to all the institutions that have made it possible for "Lanzarote sounds louder" and to compete at the same level as major music festivals in the Canary Islands and Spain: Cabildo de Lanzarote, SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote, Centros de Arte, Cultura y Turismo, Promotur Islas Canarias, Juventud Canaria, Instituto Canario de Desarrollo Cultural (ICDC), and Fundación IDEO, from the Government of the Canary Islands, and Turismo Arrecife (Arrecife City Council), as well as private companies from the Island and the Canary Islands that have bet on "a project that was born from a dream and has far exceeded expectations," concluded Lourdes Santana.
