Lanzarote Land On Show

Lanzarote became this Friday a meeting place for representatives of fashion worldwide. The Island Council officially presented the project 'Lanzarote Land On Show'. Los Jameos del Agua was the enclave chosen to present an initiative of Lanzarote Moda, in collaboration with the Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism of Lanzarote, aimed at connecting designers and the environment of the Island with a "luxurious and sustainable" tourism.

The presentation was attended by the Minister of Industry of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Ariagona González, the CEO of the CACT, Benjamín Perdomo, and part of the Island Corporation, together with the designers involved in this project.

Ariagona González thanked all those present for attending such an important event for "the development of the textile sector in Lanzarote, for its growth, and for the synergy with the tourism sector".

"Authenticity, creativity, style, personality, exclusivity or modernity inspired by the best tradition, are some of the attributes associated with the network of Art, Culture and Tourism Centers, the crowning achievement of public art and landscaping in Lanzarote," said the Minister.

"This can help our designers and their firms to take a leap in quality, to publicize their work to the outside world and to continue promoting the image of Lanzarote as a quality tourist destination for the most demanding visitors," said González.

Innovative audiovisual projection.

"We are confident that this innovative audiovisual production, which replaces the traditional fashion show, will be suggestive to fashion and tourism experts, as well as to specialized media from the regional and state levels. Lanzarote Moda aims to promote and advise professionals, in order to economically boost this sector," concluded the Minister.

The event also featured the participation of journalists specialized in the field such as Manena Munar (La Razón, Conde Nast, GlobalFrame.net), Javier García Blanco (El Mundo, Yo Dona, Lonely Planet, Conde Nast) or Carmelo Jordá (Libertad Digital), among others. On the other hand, influencers such as Alex Boisset, Mikel Boisset, Nacho Yanes, Laura Dosouto or photographer Oliver Vega, among others, also attended.

The presentation consisted of the screening of audiovisual pieces (fashion films) of fashion shows held in places with tourist attractions, under the concept of "creating eco-conscious tourism with a luxury fashion concept is possible".
