Island Christmas passed through Femés last Sunday afternoon at 7:30 p.m. in the church of San Marcial del Rubicón. At the venue, neighbors and visitors filled the permitted capacity to enjoy the two Ranchos de Pascuas, which participated by offering the most traditional of these Christmas festivities.
The event began with a performance by the Rancho de Pascuas de Haría, musically directed by Professor Domingo Cedrés and presided over by Mandi Bonilla, starting with Santo Domingo de Parada, while entering the church, continuing with Las Pascuas, Santa Barbara, and Venid Pastorcillos.
Meanwhile, the audience rewarded their performance with applause. Next, the Rancho de Pascuas de Yaiza made its entrance performing La Contradanza, continuing with El Divino, Cantemos, Cantemos, Venid Pastorcillos, La historia de un Mesías, exiting the church with La Contradanza, the audience bid them farewell with applause.
The parish priest of the municipality of Yaiza, Jonathan Almeida, and the Councilor for Culture of the Yaiza City Council, César Rijo, congratulated the members of the Rancho de Pascuas for their performances, encouraging them to continue maintaining the inherited legacy and wishing them all the best for the upcoming year 2025. These wishes extend to the audience present. The gathering in the church of San Marcial del Rubicón concluded with a resounding ovation of applause.
