The municipality of San Bartolomé is already prepared to celebrate its 2025 carnival and, under the slogan Pixartolomé, dedicates this edition to figures, films and references to animated cinema

From February 23 to March 7, the program will feature a wide variety of activities designed for all ages, including parades, costume contests, carnival afternoons and musical performances.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, recalls that "the essence of the carnival in this municipality lies in its familiarity and proximity, avoiding large mass gatherings, which makes it a safe party with room for all ages, both for the local population and for those who visit us at this time."

In this sense, the Councilor for Festivities, Estefanía Luzardo, has highlighted "the cooperative role of all the groups in the municipality so that this festival takes to the streets with the participation of young and old, where the main objective is fun in its maximum expression, in a safe environment and the revitalization of San Bartolomé."

Thus, throughout these days, local groups, batucadas and dance academies will take to the streets of San Bartolomé with outstanding citizen participation.

In this sense, the Councilor for Festivities and responsible for the organization of the events, Estefanía Luzardo, pointed out that in the run-up to the days of greatest affluence, "different carnival afternoons will be held in the civic centers of Montaña Blanca, Güime and El Islote, with children's workshops, games and make-up by the PFAE Dinamiza, to warm up for the great first weekend of March."

On Sunday, February 23, the Presentation Gala will take place with the groups of the municipality at 7:00 p.m. together with the Afilarmónica Las Revoltosas, the Batucada Guaychara and the participation of 'La Rose Dance Company' and the "Murga Los Simplones".

On Sunday, March 2, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., it will be the turn of the little ones with the Carnaval Chinijo, which will include inflatables, a playroom and the Children's Costume Contest in the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Park.

One of the most anticipated moments will arrive on Tuesday, March 4 with the Carnival Day and Carnival Parade, which will tour the historic center of San Bartolomé from Constitución Street to the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Park, starting at 12:00 noon, and an hour later, the musical performances 'Idel el Mulatico', Orquesta Star Music, Orquesta Dani Valiente, Los Salvapantallas and DJ Ángel Pérez.

Among the outstanding events and as a culmination to the festivities, on Friday, March 7, the emotional farewell of the Burial of the Guachinango will take place, in which the parade will travel along Playa Honda until the burning of the fish, accompanied by comparsas and batucadas, to the Curita beach area, to end with a lively musical atmosphere.

The municipality's schools will also have their space within the carnival, with special parades that will be held on February 28, March 6 and 7, in which the little ones will fill the streets with their costumes and joy thanks to the educational community of CEIP Alcalde Alexis Tejera, Ajei, Güime, Playa Honda and the municipal nurseries of San Bartolomé and Playa Honda.

The City Council would like to thank "the work with which all the groups, collectives and professionals make this great festival possible".
