Recognized professionals from the film industry will travel to Lanzarote to teach the three courses and workshops of the Lanzarote Film Festival. The eleventh edition, which will take place between November 24 and December 5, will focus on the "training of professionals in the audiovisual sector and people with interests in this field."

Eva Valiño, Goya winner for "Take My Eyes," Alejandro Castillo, Gaudí winner for "Between Two Waters," and Flavio G. García, teacher and expert in film editing, "will be responsible for teaching three of the courses of the 11th Lanzarote Film Festival."

The wind, the central theme of the edition, will be the protagonist of two specialized workshops "in listening and sound creation," and will have the purpose of creating a "blind film" from the sounds of the island. On the other hand, the third course will be focused "on film editing," and will allow delving "into the theoretical and narrative possibilities of audiovisual editing."

The three courses will take place between Monday, November 29, and Saturday, December 4, in different venues in the city of Arrecife. The organization points out that the cost of the sound courses "will be 70 euros," and that of film editing "50 euros." In addition, in all cases, they will have "a 50% discount for unemployed, retired, or student people."

As explained by the director of the Lanzarote Film Festival, in these workshops "all sensitivities are welcome." He also adds that "this is a unique opportunity to attend and learn from some of the most interesting and rigorous professionals who are currently working in the audiovisual sector."

Regarding the sound workshops, the director explained that "it is a truly innovative proposal. It is about combining two workshops so that, jointly and in parallel, a blind film is created from the sounds of the wind that are recorded throughout the island of Lanzarote."

The organization explains that registration can be carried out through the website of the Lanzarote Film Festival.

This edition of the Lanzarote Film Festival is sponsored by the Cabildo de Lanzarote, through its Culture Area, Promotur Turismo Canarias, the Instituto Canario de Desarrollo Cultural, and the Government of the Canary Islands.
