The Muñoz brothers, "their majesties" Estopa, offered in Lanzarote the masterful lesson of how to close a tour. The concert, perfectly designed for the enjoyment of the many generations that have followed the career of the duo from Cornellà for a quarter of a century, offered an exquisite ration of successes, moments of intimacy, humor, and the good vibes of someone who knows that the holidays are approaching.
In a very powerful live performance, which lasted for more than an hour and a half and felt short, the more than 10,000 people attending the last day of Lava Live Fest sang and danced to the rhythm of anthems such as La raja de tu falda, Vino Tinto, Me falta el aliento or El del medio de Los Chichos, along with songs from Estopía, the latest album by the Catalans.
Special mention deserves the presence next to the Muñoz of the flamenco singer Chonchi Heredia, whose prodigious voice monopolized the spotlight in several moments of an unforgettable show. And, for the consolation of followers and fans, already in the last minutes of the concert, David and José announced that, although they do not know what the future holds for them from now on, “we will return to Lanzarote, the best place in the world to end a tour and fill up with energy for the next one.”
High-level opening acts
From five in the afternoon, the Agramar fairgrounds welcomed the public eager to enjoy the proposals of Kapo and St. Pedro, two emerging artists who promise to continue making waves in the national and international music scene. The artist from Tenerife opened the fire, overflowing with sympathy with his recognizable miscellany of verbena and popular party, performed his own songs, such as La misión or El idiota, and iconic versions such as Devórame otra vez.
Next, the Colombian Kapo left his skin on stage, where he was accompanied by a giant pneumatic “superego”, which reinforced his message of self-esteem, resilience and effort, values that have led him to conquer success after 15 years of work. His faithful followers applauded the Interpretation Ohnana, UWAIE or Qué pecao and the atmosphere reached the perfect temperature for the final explosion with Estopa.
