The Arrecife City Council has announced the artists who will perform at the Arrecife Carnival 2025, which is dedicated to the World of Fantasy. The Department of Festivals of the council, led by the Deputy Mayor Echedey Eugenio, has prepared a program full of events that begins on February 21 with a proclamation by the carnival groups and will end on March 5 with the traditional Burial of the Sardine.

Echedey Eugenio highlights that "this year we can say that the Arrecife Carnival is consolidated as the third capital of the Canary Islands, with an ambitious program and an effort to improve the experience of both carnival-goers and residents."

In this line, one of the novelties of this edition is the transfer of most of the events to the Agramar and Puerto Naos area, fulfilling the commitment acquired with the residents of the city center.

In addition, the Gala of the Carnival Queen is recovered, an event that has not been held since 2018 and that returns with great expectation. The offer of Day Carnival is also reinforced, with two festive days.

"This program reflects the spirit of the Arrecife Carnival: tradition, modernity and fun for all," says Echedey Eugenio, inviting all citizens and visitors to join this great celebration.

The festivities will begin on Friday, February 21 at 7:00 p.m. with a vibrant parade animated by the Batucada Villa Pipol, which will run through the streets from Muelle Chico to Agramar, where the starting gun will be fired with the proclamation by the Carnival groups, as announced on January 31 during the show-presentation of the herald and the poster announcing the capital's carnival.

The first night will be marked by the spectacular Drag Queen Gala at 9:00 p.m. and a great festival from 10:30 p.m. with the participation of Rikabanda, Son de la Loma and Nueva Stella.

Saturday, February 22 will bring with it, from 10:30 a.m., the Traditional Carnival with the participation of Los Buches, sheets and masks from the Fishing Dock to Calle Real, before the music takes to the streets with the first great day of the Day Carnival from 12:00 noon on Avenida de Agramar. The rhythms of Tamarindo, Combo Dominicano, Chicas de la Habana, Platino, Armonía Show, Dani Valiente and DJ Maxi Ferrer will sound, filling the city with joy and celebration until 4:00 a.m.

On Monday, March 3, the great Carnival Parade will arrive, which will run through the city from the Cruz Roja roundabout to Avenida de Agramar starting at 6:00 p.m., with the participation of floats, murgas, parades, batucadas and masquerades. The final act of the festivities will also have a noise-free space.
