Arrecife presents the Argana Alta festivities in honor of María Auxiliadora

The Arrecife City Council has presented the program of the patron saint festivities in honor of María Auxiliadora in Argana Alta that will begin this Friday, May 19 with the proclamation by Andrés Medina, and that will conclude next Wednesday, May 24.

In the presentation of the poster and program of the festivities, Astrid Pérez, has celebrated the arrival of this populous celebration “with the joy and respect that characterizes the residents of this neighborhood”. Pérez has indicated that Argana Alta will become during these days “a space of fun, culture and tradition for young and old that I hope they live with joy and generosity”.

For her part, the Councilor for Festivities of Arrecife, Encarna Páez, has invited residents and visitors to “participate in the activities that have been prepared by the neighborhood association in collaboration with the Festivities Area, with great enthusiasm and effort so that they can enjoy a few days of joy and coexistence”. This year, the councilor added, “the festivities have a special flavor, as they represent an opportunity to recover the festive and solidarity spirit that characterizes us”.

The patron saint festivities in honor of María Auxiliadora in Argana Alta will have a varied program of activities designed for all types of audiences: musical performances, contests, workshops, children's games and a basketball tournament organized by the Lanzabasket Academy at the CEIP of Argana Alta.

Specifically, the festivities will begin with the reading of the proclamation will take place this Friday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. by Andrés Medina, which will be followed by the performance, starting at 8:30 p.m., approximately, of the folk group “El Lagar de Teseguite”.

Afterwards, they will conclude with the traditional mass and religious procession that will take place on Wednesday, May 24 at 6:00 p.m., accompanied by the music band “Los Gurfines del Puerto”, before the closing of the same that will be carried out, later, at 8:00 p.m. with the musical performance of the Teguey Folk Group.
