The Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, Echedey Eugenio, encourages the entire population to participate in the election of the main allegory of the Arrecife Carnival 2026, which will experience its big day on Monday, February 16 with the celebration of the Great Carnival Parade.
"After the positive experience of last year, our goal is once again for all citizens to get involved and feel from the beginning an essential part of the Arrecife Carnival, one of the festivities that most identifies our city," emphasizes Echedey Eugenio, who thanks the Carnival groups for their involvement in this initiative.
In this sense, and as happened last year, the Department of Festivities of the Arrecife City Council has turned to the Carnival groups to propose the themes from which the allegory will be chosen. These are: 'Kingdom of Dreams', 'Children's Television of the 80s and 90s', 'Adventures at Sea', 'Galactic Carnival', 'A World of Pirates and Corsairs' and 'The Sphinx and the Lost Treasure'.
Voting can be done until Monday, August 4 inclusive, through the link https://participacion.arrecife.es/carnaval-2026 on the Arrecife City Council website. Only one vote per person will be allowed and cannot be modified once cast. Votes cast outside the established period will not be counted.
