Last Saturday, the Comparsas and Batucadas Parade was held prior to the celebration of the Day Carnival and the Youth Carnival, which brought together thousands of people in costume in the Agramar Enclosure and Naos Avenue.
The party will continue in Arrecife this Monday with its Grand Carnival Parade with the participation of 26 floats, all adult and children's 'murgas', 'comparsas', 'batucas' and thousands of people in costume ready to have a few hours of fun, in what is one of the most anticipated events of the program prepared by the Department of Festivities of the City Council of the capital of Lanzarote, led by the Deputy Mayor, Echedey Eugenio.
The route will start at 6:00 p.m. from the Red Cross Roundabout to the Agramar Enclosure and will have a noise-free zone from the beginning to the Lanzarote Sports City Roundabout so that people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) can enjoy the party according to their needs.
At the conclusion of the same, Naos Avenue will be transformed into a musical space with the participating floats that will have a Violet Point where any behavior related to sexist violence can be reported. Promoted by the Department of Social Welfare, directed by Maite Corujo, it is financed by the Department of Social Welfare of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, directed by Marci Acuña.
