Andy y Lucas will finally perform in Lanzarote, but they will do so in Playa Blanca. This was confirmed to La Voz by the Culture Councillor of the Yaiza City Council, Daniel Medina.

As will be recalled, the Andalusian duo was supposed to have performed last Saturday, October 22nd in Arrecife within the Sunset Festival, but the lack of permits meant that it had to be suspended. In fact, all the concerts that were planned in the capital of Lanzarote within the framework of this festival did not take place. This has led to a real crisis within the Government group with accusations traded especially between Nueva Canarias and Coalición Canaria. Finally, the mayoress dismissed the Tourism and Commerce technician, Miguel Ángel Leal, moving him to Culture.

The mayor, Óscar Noda, encourages the people of Lanzarote "to enjoy this Thursday's performance by Andy y Lucas, which will be the first night of three days of music at the stop that the Sunset Canarias Festival makes in our town of Playa Blanca".

The Yaiza City Council, which had been preparing for the arrival of Sunset to the municipality for days, has managed to bring the artists from Cadiz to Playa Blanca by including them in the festival program. Andy y Lucas will perform on Thursday, October 27th, Nía will perform on Friday the 28th and Cristina Ramos will close on Sunday, October 30th. All performances will be at 9:00 p.m. in the town square of the tourist town.

"In Yaiza we have a program of artistic performances to promote culture and also to boost commercial and tourist areas and thus help boost consumption. Now we had the opportunity and the confidence of the Sunset Canarias Festival and here we are to please our people and the people of Lanzarote," adds Daniel Medina. Sunset Festival is a commitment of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Federation of Hotel and Tourism Businessmen of Las Palmas with the support of the Yaiza City Council.
