The legendary Italian actress Isabella Rossellini will offer her new one-person show, Darwin’s Smile in Lanzarote next Sunday, August 4, at 8:00 p.m. It is a fascinating fusion of art and science inspired by Charles Darwin's book, The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals, in which Rossellini explores the union between the human and the animal through emotional expression.

In Darwin’s Smile, Rossellini combines humor, reflection, and fun, creating an exceptional opportunity to learn about the art of acting by exploring universal scientific theories. The actress's versatility entertains, illustrates, and shows empathy to the animal world through wit, in this work framed within the Veranos del Taoro Festival.

Rossellini will embody a variety of characters on stage, including dogs, cats, chickens, peacocks, and Charles Darwin himself. Her ability to bring these diverse figures to life will captivate the audience, in what is a new unmissable opportunity in the emblematic Lanzarote enclave.

The Tourist Centers counselor, Ángel Vázquez, encourages the population to "attend this show to enjoy the experience and talent of a universal actress with an original and inspiring script in an iconic setting such as Jameos del Agua."

Tickets to enjoy the scenic power of the Italian actress are already on sale on the website of the Centers for Culture and Tourism. The Tourist Centers also offer the possibility of enjoying an exclusive cocktail at the conclusion of the event.
