The Second Section of the Provincial Court will judge next Tuesday, October 10, three people accused of the continued crime of robbery with force in a home, a premises of the same owners and another hospitality establishment in Puerto del Carmen. The events took place at midnight on February 17 of this year.
The Prosecutor's Office's indictment indicates that the accused C.M.P.A, J.D.P.L and J.H.T.O. allegedly entered the property after forcing the main door. After that, they took two high-end mobile phones and cash worth 2,953 euros, which came from the collection of a hospitality business that belonged to the owners of the house.
After leaving the house, at about 1 a.m., the alleged defendants would have also accessed the Shenanigans Bar, owned by the victims, which is located on Avenida de Las Playas in Puerto del Carmen. After forcing the lock of the establishment, they caused damage to the premises, which was not assessed, but could amount to 170 euros. Once they noticed the police presence, they decided to leave "hurriedly", according to the Public Prosecutor's Office.
Also, between 2 and 3.12 hours, the alleged defendants accessed a third property. In this case, it was the Pool Bar of the Club del Carmen tourist complex in the same town as the previous ones. In this case, they also forced a door, specifically the back door, and broke the windows. In this case, the damages, assessed by experts, are around 625 euros.
Once inside, they would have seized the cash from the cash register, which had 482 euros inside.
The three alleged thieves have been in prison since February 19 of this year and are accused of two continued crimes of robbery with force in a building or premises open to the public. In addition, in the case of two of them, J.H.T.O and J.D.P.L, there is the aggravating circumstance of being repeat offenders. While the third of the accused, C.M.P.A. is a repeat offender.
The Prosecutor's Office requests for the "repeat offenders" J.H.T.O and J.D.P.L a sentence of seven years and six months in prison for each one, as well as special disqualification for the right of passive suffrage. In the case of C.M.P.A, it requests five years in prison, with the corresponding disqualification during the time of the sentence. In addition to the payment of the costs of the trial.
The Public Prosecutor's Office also requests compensation for the owners of the house in which nearly 3,000 euros were stolen and for the "damages" caused to it. In addition to the amount corresponding to the two Iphone brand mobile phones stolen in the first robbery.
