The Sixth Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will try next Monday, November 13, a man accused of introducing 989.21 grams of cocaine at the Lanzarote Airport on May 7. The man arrived at the César Manrique aerodrome at 5:00 p.m. on an Air Europa flight from Madrid. According to the Prosecutor's Office indictment, the accused allegedly traveled with 99 capsules of cocaine in the form of an acorn. This drug had an average richness of 80.83% and could reach 107,015.27 euros on the illicit market.
The accused has been in provisional prison since May 10 as a precautionary measure, decreed by the Investigating Court number 2 of Arrecife.
The Public Ministry considers that these facts constitute a crime against public health, in its modality of narcotic substances that cause serious damage to health. Therefore, he asks for him, eight years and six months in prison, with the accessory special disqualification of the right to passive suffrage and a fine of 321,045.81 euros.
