Prosecutor's Office requests five years in prison for introducing more than half a kilo of cocaine and heroin in Lanzarote

The events took place during the disembarkation of a ship of the Naviera Armas company, which came from Gran Canaria, in the Port of Los Mármoles

The Second Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will judge C.O.M. next February 11 in Gran Canaria, accused of introducing nearly half a kilogram of cocaine in the port of Los Mármoles in January 2024. 

The events took place at 6.30 in the morning on January 20 of last year. In its writing, the Public Ministry accuses C.O.M. of acting with "total contempt for individual and collective health" by allegedly introducing toxic drugs into the illicit market to sell and distribute them.

The Prosecutor's Office places the events at the disembarkation of a ship of the Naviera Armas company, which came from Gran Canaria. The accused was identified by the Civil Guard at a verification point for passengers, luggage and means of transport. The Public Prosecutor's Office accuses her of carrying 475 grams of cocaine, with a richness of 78.66%, and 176 grams of heroin, with a richness of 33.7%. The total value of the merchandise amounted to 38,139.36 euros in the illicit market.

The Public Ministry qualifies the events as a crime against public health and asks for the accused five years in prison, special disqualification during the term of the sentence and a fine of 76,278.72 euros.
