The Sixth Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will try next week in Lanzarote an accused of selling 0.44 grams of cocaine on a street in Arrecife in August 2019.
The Prosecutor's Office places the events in the early hours of August 31, 2019, on Doctor Ramón y Cajal street, in the capital of Lanzarote. The Public Prosecutor's Office states that I.B. allegedly sold 20 euros in cocaine to a personal, with "a clear disregard for individual and collective health". After analyzing the substance, it was concluded that it had a purity of 67.88% and a value of around 26.34.
After a police search, 47 euros were seized from him. According to what the Public Prosecutor's Office highlighted in its indictment, the case has been paralyzed "without justified cause" for four years, with different periods of pause between August 2020 and August 2024.
The Ministry requests for I.B. the penalty of ten months of prison, under which the mitigating circumstance for undue delays concurs, special disqualification to exercise the right to passive suffrage for the duration of the sentence, and a fine of 20 euros, as well as the payment of court costs.
Along these lines, the Prosecutor's Office has requested the confiscation of the money and the drugs intervened.
