The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Area of Training and Inclusive Employment, recently presented a new edition of the free Financial Mentormind program, an initiative aimed at "strengthening the economic management of local businesses and promoting economic peace of mind among the island's entrepreneurs."

The event was attended by the Minister of Training and Inclusive Employment, Ascensión Toledo, and the economist Vanesa Marrero, director of the School of Economic Tranquility.

Toledo highlighted the importance of this program to promote the consolidation of the business network on the island: "with this initiative we seek to offer tools that allow entrepreneurs to take control of the finances of their businesses, gain stability, and share knowledge among equals. We are committed to practical training that contributes to creating more solid and sustainable companies in Lanzarote."

"Given the good results of the first edition, we have continued with this mentorship, which has once again attracted participants in 2024, who have expressed their interest in continuing to deepen their knowledge of the economic management of their projects and in taking advantage of this collaborative space to improve their business finances," Toledo pointed out.

For her part, Vanesa Marrero, economist and director of the School of Economic Tranquility, pointed out that the main objective of this initiative is to help entrepreneurs manage their finances and create sustainable businesses.

Marrero emphasized the need to undertake this from a “calm and friendly” approach, allowing them to anticipate economic challenges with serenity. Furthermore, she expressed satisfaction with the results obtained in the two editions held since the program's implementation.

The Mentormind Program for entrepreneurs and freelancers offers specialized training in financial management and group support focused on improving the economic organization of companies. It includes seven training sessions, of three hours each, which will take place in the Plenary Hall of the Cabildo de Lanzarote between October 15 and November 19, 2025.

The first phase, called Financial Mentoring, addresses essential topics in entrepreneurial finance with the aim of participants acquiring a clear, efficient, and practical system to manage their businesses autonomously.

The second phase of the program, called Mastermind, will focus on monthly meetings oriented towards the joint analysis of business finances and strategic decision-making.

In these sessions, participants will share the evolution of their businesses, discuss economic challenges, and evaluate the impact of their decisions from a collaborative perspective. This stage seeks to create a space for support among businesswomen and businessmen on the island, with the guidance of a professional in financial management.

The Mastermind phase will include four sessions to be held in December 2025, January, February, and March 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Cabildo de Lanzarote facilities.
