Classrooms of the new Akacenter center in Arrecife

The training center of Akacenter, with more than 15 years of experience in the sector, inaugurates a new training space in the Valterra neighborhood from where it will continue to promote life projects and successful professional careers.

In the new facilities, equipped with the latest in educational technology, Akacenter will offer its renowned and requested cooking, dining room and bar courses, which students will be able to access completely free of charge as they are subsidized by the Canarian Employment Service and the SEPE.

In addition, it has another three fully equipped classrooms to teach courses in office automation, languages, administration, cultural promotion and tourism, among others. All the training offered by the center is official and is endorsed by the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Education.

With this new space, there are now six centers that Akacenter has open in the archipelago, adding to the two centers in Tías, the two in Gran Canaria (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Vecindario) and the one in Tenerife (Santa Cruz). This consolidates the expansion process in which the company has been immersed for some years.

Collaboration with Andrea Ramos, the famous recruiter of the networks

To celebrate this milestone, Akacenter wanted to collaborate with Andrea Ramos, better known on social networks as @ReclutandoVoy. The renowned recruiter and content creator on employability will offer a face-to-face masterclass entitled "Labor strategies to succeed in the job search". In it, attendees will receive keys and tips to enhance their professional profile and maximize the chances of finding the job they want.

Attendance to this masterclass is free and is open to anyone who is interested, although places are limited and it is essential to confirm attendance on the center's website. It will take place on Friday, January 19 at 6:00 p.m. at Calle Extremadura number 5, the new home of Akacenter.

Training adapted to the new times

Akacenter has free courses and certifications and also private FP education and preparation for competitive examinations.

Specifically, it teaches Professional Certificates fully subsidized by the Canarian Employment Service and the SEPE, which offer updated training for employment that aims to cover the labor demand of the most booming sectors of the Canary Islands such as hospitality, tourism or commerce.

It also offers specialty courses, also subsidized, which are intended to be curricular complements that improve the professional competitiveness of students, acquiring specific tools such as the management of office automation programs or languages.

In the field of private training, Akacenter offers official FP degrees in tele-training mode with a novel approach focused on the individualized attention of each student, as well as groups preparing for competitive examinations for the state security forces.

With all this, Akacenter has managed to position itself as one of the training centers with the highest employability rate in the Canary Islands, a recognition that can be attested to by the hundreds of students who pass through its courses each year.

Environmentally responsible space

Akacenter also takes the environmental impact of its activity very seriously and has implemented a series of actions that reduce its consumption of water and energy to increase the sustainability of the new center.

100% of the energy consumed by the new Akacenter space in Arrecife is from renewable sources and all windows have double glazing to conserve the interior temperature of the building. In addition, all air conditioning units are highly energy efficient and the total disconnection of computer equipment is guaranteed when not in use so as not to consume a single watt unnecessarily.

Following the good custom of the island to take advantage of every drop of water, at Akacenter rainwater and air conditioning water is collected and stored in a cistern that is used for toilet water. They also have proximity detector taps to avoid wasting anything.
