Last March, the tourists who had the longest stays in Lanzarote were those from Norway, who stayed an average of 11.2 days, according to the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics. Next were the Austrians, who exceeded ten days on average during their stays on the island last month.
The Germans, with an average trip of 9.6 days, occupied the third position. Travelers from Germany often exceed ten days of stay on the island and generally have slightly longer stays than their neighbors in Austria. This was the case in both January and February of this year.
Travelers from Belgium, with an average stay of 9.3 days, occupied the fourth position during the month of March. Next were the Netherlands, whose citizens chose to stay an average of slightly more than 9 days.
The fifth place is for the Luxembourgers who stayed in Lanzarote an average of 8.6 days, very similar to that registered by the Finns, in the month of March.
The average stay of tourists from the United Kingdom, the island's largest tourist market, was 7.4 days in March.
Germans stayed the longest during 2022
Throughout last year, German tourists, with 9.7 days, made the longest average stays of 2022 in Lanzarote.
Next were the Norwegians, who stayed an average of 9.3 days, and the Luxembourgers with an average of 9 days.
The fourth and fifth positions were for the Austrians and the Belgians, who stayed an average of 8.7 and 8.4 days respectively.
