Turismo Lanzarote approves a budget of 5.6 million euros for 2023

The Board of Directors of the Lanzarote Foreign Promotion Society (SPEL) has approved its budget for 2023, with a forecasted income of 5,624,000 euros, of which 4 million euros correspond to the contribution of its main partner, the Cabildo de Lanzarote.

Likewise, during the session, the business volume corresponding to 2022, which is around 7 million euros, exceeding the previous year's figure by 31.78%, was reported.

The Foreign Promotion Society is an instrumental entity created for the tourist promotion of Lanzarote, formed by the Cabildo, the Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism, the seven town councils and the tourist business associations of the Island (Lanzarote Tourist Federation, Asolan, Lanzarote Chamber of Commerce, Felapyme).

“The union of all sectors is fundamental in the promotion of Lanzarote as a unique and different destination, which is what we do from the Foreign Promotion Society (SPEL)”, highlighted the vice president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Marcos Bergaz.

“In recent years, we have worked on the tourist promotion of Lanzarote with various markets, we have created new synergies and opened new routes and connections that have translated into better figures and better quality in the sector, all under a new model that we are promoting”, Bergaz highlighted.

In the same vein, the CEO of SPEL, Héctor Fernández, highlighted the "positive data that reflect the good work done" and that encourage them “to continue advancing in the change of model implemented and to continue expanding our vision to increase the volume of business and, of course, the quality and excellence of the destination”.
