The Lanzarote Tourist Federation (FTL) and the Asolan Tourism CIDE held the 1st Conference on Business Innovation Financing last Friday, aimed at SMEs and large Canarian companies interested in learning about aspects related to Technological Innovation, which was sponsored by the company AF Innovación.
From the Tourist Federation they point out that the meeting, which was opened by the president of the island's employers' association, Susana Pérez, served especially to make known among Lanzarote's businessmen "the different aspects related to innovation." Through the conference, the aim was to guide entrepreneurs to "identify and optimize their projects to turn business R&D&I into the key factor of competitiveness of organizations, through the management of public incentives and the return on investment made, up to 18 years ago."
"Promoting the improvement of the competitiveness of companies through technology and innovation, investment in R&D&I and knowledge transfer allows for sustained and resilient growth of the sector, hence our interest in promoting, facilitating, that companies know the positive impact, even of investments already made, to continue promoting continuous innovation and digital transformation within companies," said the president of the FTL, Susana Pérez, during the opening of the event.
Among the speakers, national experts in Innovation Incentives, the participation of the managing partner of AF Innovación, Miguel Angel Ortega, as well as the presence of a representative of the Deputy Directorate General for the Promotion of Innovation, of the Ministry of Science and Business Innovation, Ángel Pérez Riveras, the main body in Spain for the Issuance of Binding Motivated Reports for Tax Incentives for R&D&I; and the Director of R&D&I of the Certifier OCA CERT, Juan de Norverto, stood out.
From the FTL they point out that one of the most outstanding points that were addressed during the conference referred to issues such as "the recovery of 100% of IT investments in the tourism sector, as well as certification and legal security systems for technological investment and Next Generation funds." In addition, the speakers echoed the success stories of AF Innovación in the Canary Islands, a specialist in the return of 100% of the investment in R&D&I, in the field of technological innovation.
The celebration of this informative experience, according to the FTL, arises after the situation caused by the pandemic, which has generated "an unprecedented crisis and change in the business fabric worldwide." The event was attended by the Cabildo councilor, Marcos Bergaz Villalba, and the Tourism Councilor of the Teguise City Council, Antonio Callero.
