This Friday, the Tías City Council presented the updated brand of Puerto del Carmen at El Fondeadero, before a wide representation of the municipality's tourism and business sector. The Consistory points out that the new brand seeks a "more current image in line with the renovation and modernization initiatives that the institution is carrying out".
“Exciting by nature” is the concise statement of the new image of Puerto del Carmen, which has been designed "on the stability and power of triangles connected to the emotions provided by nature, sports, art, culture and history." The Consistory points out that it is a "recognizable and differentiated image, with triangular shapes and a heart that encompasses the most relevant aspects of the tourist destination."
The presentation was chaired by the mayor of the Tías City Council, José Juan Cruz, and by the vice president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Marcos Bergaz. “We work to relaunch our tourism, relaunch our land and generate opportunities. We are a destination in continuous development, advancement and progress. We belong to the AMTC, Association of Tourist Municipalities of the Canary Islands, and we reinvent ourselves and modernize ourselves taking into account the Sustainable Development Goals in the economic, social and environmental fields,” said the mayor, José Juan Cruz.
The mayor assured that all departments of the Tías City Council are working on projects "in the short, medium and long term." "To create a municipality where we can all enjoy good living conditions, always taking into account people and the environment,” he added.
According to the mayor, this new tourist brand is the culmination of an elaborate background work that is based on: the Puerto del Carmen Commercial Dynamization Plan; Tourist Sustainability Plan in destination (La Tiñosa); III Plan for Modernization, Improvement and Increase of Competitiveness of Puerto del Carmen; Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP); Zero Plastic Strategy; Action Plan for Climate and Sustainable Energy (PACES); Project for the Revitalization of the cultural and gastronomic heritage of Tías; ZEConsciente; Smart Tourist Destination (technological innovation) and the New Puerto del Carmen brand.
