October also breaks records at Lanzarote airport

So far this year, the Canary Islands airports have registered 43 million travelers, 9% more than last year

Month after month, the César Manrique airport registers passenger records and October has been no exception. Lanzarote airport registered a total of 758,622 passengers last month, 5% more than were counted in the same month last year and a new historical maximum on the island in the month of October.  

The group of Canary Islands airports counted 4.5 million in October, 6.6% more than the same month of 2023.

The Gran Canaria Airport registered the highest number of passengers in October, with 1.3 million, which represents 6.3% more than in October 2023.

It is followed by the Tenerife South Airport, with 1.1 million passengers and an increase of 8.9% compared to 2023; after the César Manrique is located Tenerife North-Ciudad de La Laguna, with 587,757 (+7.4%).

In Fuerteventura, passengers amounted to 557,736 (+5%); In La Palma, 120,215 (+5.2%); El Hierro, 27,590 (+3.7%) and La Gomera, with 10,088 (-9.2%).

So far this year, the Canary Islands airports have registered 43,255,356 travelers, 9% more than in the same period of 2023.

Of the total number of travelers registered, 4,494,702 corresponds to passengers on commercial flights, of which 1,853,341 flew on national routes, 5.6% more than in October last year, and 2,641,361 on international routes, 7.7% more.

In addition, 40,120 aircraft movements were managed, 4.6% more than in the same month of 2023, and 3,022 tons of transported goods were counted, 11.9% more than in October last year.
