The Centers for Art, Culture and Tourism have closed the summer quarter with a total of 1,037,246 visitors between the months of July and September, which represents 8.7% more than during the same months of last year.
The Entity, which has described these results as "extraordinary", explains that in the month of September in particular the increase has been 20.52% compared to 2022.
Jameos del Agua and Montañas del Fuego were the most visited with 74,812 and 73,467 people respectively. The Cueva de los Verdes, for its part, received 49,923 visitors.
In total, the spaces created by César Manrique have received a total of 2,665,417 visitors so far in 2023, 17.88% more than in the same period of 2022.
The Entity's counselor, Ángel Vázquez, wants to thank "the dedication and professionalism" of the staff. "Our intention," he assured, "is to continue working to enrich an offer that is still fully valid with the aim of creating an unforgettable experience for the new tourist that has emerged after the pandemic."
