More than five million air seats for Lanzarote airport this winter

The increase in activity that César Manrique will experience this winter (23.8%) is the largest in the Canary Islands

The César Manrique Airport, with more than 5 million seats scheduled by the airlines for this winter, is experiencing the largest growth in the Canary Islands, 23.8% compared to the previous winter season.

More than 3.6 million of the planned seats are for international flights and more than 1.5 million for national flights. In this case, 34 airlines have scheduled 156 routes in Lanzarote, with 32,518 movements to 87 destinations.

By markets, the number of seats with the United Kingdom stands out, with London as the main connection, followed by national destinations,
Germany, Ireland and France.

 

The Canary Islands as a whole will have 15% more air seats

For all the airports in the archipelago, the airlines have scheduled 28.9 million seats for the winter season that begins this week and will last until March 30, 2024.

These figures represent an increase of 15% compared to the same season in 2022. Of the total, 18.2 million seats correspond to
international flights (+17%) and 10.7 million to national flights (+11%).

The number of routes that airlines have planned in the archipelago is 819, increasing by 59 compared to the previous winter season.

In absolute numbers, the airport with the most offer is Gran Canaria with more than 8.6 million seats
scheduled and an increase of 12.4%.

For its part, Tenerife South Airport has 215 routes scheduled, operated by 49 airlines that will offer more than 7.5 million seats, 15.2% more than in 2022. 

For Fuerteventura Airport, more than 3.4 million seats have been offered, which represents an increase of 11% over last year's winter season.
