The port of Arrecife will receive between 100 and 120 cruise ships during the first quarter of the year, according to the forecasts of the Port Authority of Las Palmas.
This means that between 100,000 and 150,000 passengers will stopover with a cruise ship in the capital of Lanzarote between January and April.
The first cruise ship of the year arrives on January 4, it is the 'Azura', a ship with capacity for 3,000 guests and that will also stop in Arrecife in February and March.
For January, the Authority foresees the arrival of 29 ships with special prominence of the ships of the MSC and Costa shipping companies.
In February there will be a minimum of 26, while in March they foresee at least another 24. For the month of April, the Authority foresees the highest number of arrivals, at least 34.
Pending the accounting of the December data, the port of Arrecife received between January and November 2023 almost 288,000 cruise passengers, 77% more than those who arrived in the same period of the previous year.
