The British press has echoed the results of a new tool from flight comparison site Skyscanner that shows the cheapest destinations Britons can fly to each month, and for February, the newspaper Daily Express highlights the prices for traveling to Lanzarote.
Skyscanner's new Cheapest Destinations Planner is a simple tool where you select the month you want to travel and the site shows you the 10 cheapest destinations based on data from over 1200 airlines and travel providers.
Thus, you can see the average cost of a round-trip flight in the selected month, as well as the cheapest departure day
With the current cold and grey skies of the United Kingdom, which are expected to continue in the coming weeks, many Britons are looking for a February getaway, and the good news is that there are some sunny winter destinations on the month's top 10 list.
The Daily Express highlights from its search, above all other destinations, Lanzarote, "the destination that will likely offer you the most sun and warmest temperatures at the lowest price."
The article explains that, on average, a round-trip flight to Lanzarote costs £121 in February, “but if you are flexible with dates and departure airport, you could pay less,” it adds.
According to the tool's results, the newspaper explains that offers can be found to other sunny destinations such as Agadir, where the average cost of a round-trip flight is £119 from Edinburgh.
Alicante, another favorite destination for Britons, also features on the list of cheapest destinations, with an average price of £94 for a round-trip flight, and particularly highlights offers from Bristol and Manchester.
