Lanzarote's hotels, the ones that increased their profitability the most in the Canary Islands in 2023

There are large differences between municipalities, in Yaiza they achieved 49.9% more per room, in Teguise 15.2%

The hotels in Lanzarote managed to increase the profitability of their rooms during 2023 by 35.6%, according to the latest Profitability and Employment Barometer of Exceltur, an association that brings together the main companies in the sector.

This is the highest growth recorded in the entire archipelago. Next, the hotels in Fuerteventura achieved an average of 27.5% more profit per room.

On the island of Tenerife, the increase amounted to 27%, while in Gran Canaria it was 24.4%.

 

Large differences between municipalities in Lanzarote

However, there are large differences between the tourist municipalities of Lanzarote.

The hotels in Yaiza increased the profitability of their rooms by 49.9% in 2023 to obtain an average of 117.8 euros, even though the number of hotel places in the south grew by 7.3% last year. Occupancy increased by 2.1%.

For their part, the hotel establishments in Tías increased the profitability of their rooms by 27.4% to 107.2 euros. In Tías, occupancy grew by 7.3%.

The hotels in the third tourist municipality of Lanzarote, Teguise, achieved 15.2% more per room last year, up to an average of 88.4 euros.
