This growth adds to that experienced in 2023, in which French tourism increased by 20% compared to 2022 and reached a total of 201,709 tourists between January and November.

The increase in visitors from the neighboring country is even more noticeable when compared to the figures from a decade ago. In 2014, a total of 84,797 French tourists had arrived between January and November.

In percentage terms, the number of travelers from French airports has increased by 155.8% compared to ten years ago and is equivalent to 132,000 more French travelers.

The preferred month for the French to visit Lanzarote is August. Last year, 23,912 citizens from France arrived during the eighth month of the year.

Next, March, the month in which 22,389 French citizens landed in Lanzarote, followed very closely by February and April, which attract an average of 21,000 French citizens each to the island.
