As every year, the travel platform TripAdvisor has published the list of Traveller's Choice 2023, based on the opinions and scores of all users collected over the last 12 months.
The selection is divided into the categories of beaches, hotels, restaurants, 'things to do' and destinations. In this last category, 25 of the best places in the world to travel to in 2023 have been selected, and only one of them is in Spain, Lanzarote, which has obtained the 12th position among the 25 selected.
The travel platform has highlighted the excellence of Lanzarote's beaches, which "has exceptional attractions and activities such as riding a camel through volcanoes in the Timanfaya National Park or eating in a restaurant in a volcanic cave in Jameos del Agua".
On the other hand, the travel platform has also awarded Spain in the categories of hotels, with the BLESS Hotel Madrid; in beaches, with Muro beach (Mallorca); and in restaurants, with the Martin Berasategui restaurant (Lasarte-Oria) and El Xato (La Nucia).
