César Manrique Airport was close to reaching 800,000 passengers last July, according to Aena data provided by the Lanzarote Data Center.
Specifically, there were 798,998 people, 7.3% more than last year, when a total of 744,894 registered travelers was reached.
Never before had Aena registered so many passengers in Lanzarote in a month of July.
Ten years ago, in 2015, half a million passengers were recorded in July, which is equivalent to 300,000 less than last month.
The group of airports in the Canary Islands had 4.6 million passengers, 6.3% more than the same month of 2024.
The Gran Canaria Airport registered the highest number of passengers with 1,286,184, which represents an increase of 6.4% compared to July 2024.
It is followed by the Tenerife South Airport, with 1,094,961 passengers and an increase of 1.4%; César Manrique-Lanzarote, with 798,998 passengers (+7.3%); Tenerife North- Ciudad de La Laguna, with 662,661 (+8.6%); Fuerteventura, with 617,573 (+12.6%); La Palma, with 133,918 (+2.6%); El Hierro, with 30,485 (+5.0%); and, La Gomera, with 12,269 passengers (+4.2%).
So far this year, the Canary Islands airports have registered 31,671,482 travelers, 5.0% more than in the same period of 2024.
