In Lanzarote airport, a total of 51,324 passengers arrived in January from domestic airfields, 3.8% less than those registered in the same month of 2025.

Close to half of the passengers arrived from Madrid-Barajas Airport (25,197), although they fell 7% compared to January of last year.

Secondly, passengers arriving from Barcelona (8,844), 12.5% less than those who arrived from El Prat in January 2025. The connection with Catalonia has been affected by Ryanair's reduction of two flights to the Catalan capital.

In contrast, arrivals from Andalusian airports, which rank third, increased by 18% in January compared to the same month last year. In absolute numbers, this is 8,070 travelers compared to 6,837 in 2025.

Andalusia benefited from Vueling adding a fourth weekly flight to Seville and a fifth to Malaga this winter.

Galicia also felt the impact of Ryanair's flight cuts at Santiago de Compostela to Lanzarote. Arrivals fell by less than half (-55%). From 4,705 last year to 2,080 in January 2026.

The drop from Galicia is so substantial that this January arrivals from the Basque Country have been higher, reaching 3,162 arrivals, slightly more than the 2,873 of the previous year.

Below are the airports of the Valencian Community, from where 3,853 travelers arrived in January, more than double the 1,745 travelers who arrived in January 2025.

Lanzarote added one more flight to Valencia and two direct flights to Alicante this winter season by Ryanair.

Finally, from the Principality of Asturias 118 people landed in January, compared to 130 in January of last year.
