The municipality of San Bartolomé was the setting this Friday for the official presentation of the Jable card, which seeks to reward customer loyalty and has been promoted by the Association of Merchants and Businessmen of San Bartolomé (ACEA). Its creation "establishes a new benchmark for associated commerce in the Canary Islands", as they have defended in a press release issued this Friday.

The inaugural event took place in the main hall of the Curbelo Santana Foundation, where the day began with a warm reception from the ACEA board of directors. The president, Oswaldo Machín, and the secretary, Verónica Ruiz, welcomed the attendees in an enabled photocall.

Thus, they have argued that "the relevance of this launch was evidenced in "the large attendance of prominent political figures, both at the local and island levels." In this sense, they have indicated that heading the municipal representation were the mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, accompanied by the Councilor for Commerce, Alma González, and the Councilor for Youth, Mónica de León. Meanwhile, representing the Island Council of Lanzarote was the Councilor for Commerce, Armando Santana. In addition, the Chamber of Commerce also showed its support with the presence of its vice president, Mamen Martinón, as well as the president of the Tías A.E.P.Tias business association, Lidia Morales.

Key Speeches: Trajectory, Vision, and Unity

The main event began with an emotional welcome from the mayor, Isidro Pérez, who took a tour of "the historical importance of San Bartolomé in the commercial sector, from its beginnings to becoming the dynamic hub it is today, with its open commercial areas and its industrial zone." Thus, Pérez emphasized the concern of the business community to "always offer the best to its customers, highlighting the Jable Card as a clear proof of this commitment."

Next, David Mille, from the General Directorate of Commerce and Consumption of the Government of the Canary Islands, took the floor to highlight the relevance of this project, framed in the strategic program "Canarias, Destino Inteligente" (Canary Islands, Intelligent Destination).

Finally, the president of ACEA, Oswaldo Machín, closed the round of speeches. In his speech, he emphasized the effort and dedication of all the actors involved in the development of this transformative project. Machín extended his gratitude, mainly, to the ACEA partners for believing in these initiatives, as well as to the General Directorate of Commerce and the Ministry of Economy, Industry, Commerce and Self-Employed of the Government of the Canary Islands, led by Manuel Domínguez, for their fundamental support through the credit line of the Canarias Destino Inteligente project.

The president also highlighted the vital importance of the cohesion of the municipal business fabric. "The problem of one of our partners becomes the problem of all, because in some way, everything affects us," he said, underlining the strength of unity. With conviction, he concluded: "This card, Jable Card, is born from the imperative need to revert to our customers, in our society, and to thank them for the trust they place day after day in the more than 60 associated businesses of ACEA."

Next steps of the 'Jable Card'

After the speeches, a question and answer session was opened that allowed attendees to resolve their doubts about the operation of the Jable Card. The technological team of the company SAO was in charge of clarifying the concerns of the businesses present. The event concluded in a relaxed atmosphere, where the guests could enjoy a coffee and celebrate together this step for the commerce of San Bartolomé.

In short, shopping in the municipality of San Bartolomé now offers more advantages. The steps for the consumer are simple: download the mobile application and shop at the affiliated stores, which will be geolocated in the app itself. From July 20, users will be able to redeem their points for different gifts and vouchers.

Promotion Campaigns: sustainability and mobility

As part of the initiatives to promote the launch of the Jable Card, ACEA has organized a series of eco-sustainable workshops. The main objective is to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and promote the use of public transport from an early age.

In collaboration with the Transport area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, ACEA will launch a specific campaign to promote the use of line 32 of municipal public transport, which connects different points of San Bartolomé. In this way, it seeks to show parents and children the ease of getting around the municipality and encourage everyone to participate in the workshops, regardless of their place of residence. Those interested in attending the workshops must register in advance by calling the telephone number: 629 81 84 55.
