The **sale** of registered homes rose by **27.9% in the Canary Islands in November** 2025 compared to the same period last year, a figure that places the islands as the community with the largest increase, after the autonomous city of Melilla with a 33.3% rise.
According to the preliminary results published this Thursday by the College of Registrars, in the whole of Spain there was an increase of 7.1% in November 2025 compared to the same period of the previous year, while mortgages for the acquisition of a home increased by 10.6%.
With projected data on 92.1% of the analyzed records, the registrars' statistics estimate 58,533 home sales in November in Spain, showing a rebound compared to the stabilization observed since the summer months, according to a statement.
Meanwhile, the number of mortgages registered on housing reached 43,211, 10.6% more than in November of the previous yearAll of this in a context marked by the cheapening of mortgage financing thanks to more attractive interest rates and the lack of available housing on the market, unable to meet current demand and which is pushing prices up
According to the data handled by the registrars, the largest increases in housing sales and purchases occurred in Melilla (33.3%); the Canary Islands (27.9%) and Murcia (21.8%), while the only decreases occurred in Madrid (-11.1%), Asturias (-5.9%) and the Balearic Islands (-0.3%).
In the case of housing mortgages, there were increases in fourteen communities, with rates above 20% in Cantabria (49.2%), Ceuta (32.7%), Valencia (24.1%), and Andalusia (20%).
Meanwhile, declines were seen in Aragón (-9%); Navarra (-6.3%); Madrid (-5.1%); Melilla (-3.8%); and the Balearic Islands (-3.3%)If all registered sales, not just housing, are taken into account, operations grew by 8.1% in November to 114,758
In this case, the largest increases were recorded in Melilla (32.2%); Cantabria (31.9%); Basque Country (28.5%) and Murcia (21.8%) and the decreases occurred in Madrid (-9.9%); Aragon (-1.4%) and the Balearic Islands (-0.9%).
Considering total mortgages, beyond those for housing, 56,118 were recorded in November 2025, 9.6% more than a year earlier.
