Education is one of the most important tasks that promote change towards awareness and a sustainable future. That is why the Education Department of Rancho Texas Park has developed the Educational Program in order to collaborate with the schools on the island, seeking the objective that the little ones "know, learn and become active agents" for the protection of nature.
It is a program organized by Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park in order to "raise awareness" among the school population and make them "reflect" on the situation of marine pollution, and thus become "aware" of the importance of protecting marine ecosystems. The program is oriented to the 'Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda', with the aim that they can adopt sustainable lifestyles in harmony with nature, learning to recycle and working with a learning-service methodology with the motto: 'Think global, act local'.
The program began last March and resumes its activity on October 20. It is a free program and is open to the school community of Lanzarote in the final year of Infant (5 years), Primary and Secondary. For more information, please contact the Education Department of Rancho Texas Park.
