Yaiza is the municipality in the Canary Islands that has obtained the most revenue from tourist hotel accommodation between June and September. In Yaiza, a room represents an income of 114.1 euros on average, according to the 'Barometer of profitability and employment of the 100 main Spanish tourist destinations', prepared by Exceltur.
In addition, Yaiza is not only the Canarian municipality that makes its hotel rooms most profitable, but it is also among the 20 with the best results in all of Spain. Specifically, it occupies position 18 among all the municipalities in the country.
Between the months of June and September 2022, overnight stays in the Canary Islands were very similar to those of a pre-pandemic summer - with a decrease of only 0.4% compared to 2019 - but room revenue was 12.8% higher than that obtained in the same period of 2019.
In the case of Yaiza, room revenue increased by 35.3%. In the same period of time, revenue in Teguise per room grew by 12.1% and in Tías by 11%.
Yaiza is followed by the Tenerife municipality of Adeje, both in the Canary Islands and nationally, since it occupies position 19 in Spain, with an average income per room of 110.4.
The first three positions in the country are the city of Ibiza, Marbella and San Josep de Talaia (also on the island of Ibiza). There, room revenue was close to reaching 200 euros.
