The verification act of the stakeout of the work of the port of Los Mármoles is already signed. The rubric, according to José Montelongo, deputy mayor of Arrecife and councilor in the Port Authority of Las Palmas, has taken place this Thursday. With this procedure, which guarantees the availability of the land for the normal execution of the works, the term to execute the works begins to count.
Specifically, the extension of the Arrecife dock of Los Mármoles must be completed within a period of 30 months, which begins to count from this Thursday. Those in charge of executing it will be the companies that were awarded and that make up the UTE Acciona-Lanzagrava.
The total cost of the work will be 19,283,475.23 euros, according to the contract signed between the Port Authority of Las Palmas and the companies on April 30. The concession of the work to the Lanzarote UTE guaranteed that the construction of the drawers for the extension of the dock by about 400 meters will be carried out in Lanzarote, something that had been claimed from different forums for the economic and labor impulse that it would mean for the island.
