The average price of rental housing in the Canary Islands in July is 6.82 euros per square meter per month. The price of rental housing in the Canary Islands decreased by 3.8 percent in the last year, the lowest year-on-year drop of all the autonomous communities, compared to a national average of -7 percent. The fotocasa.es Real Estate Index places the average price of rental housing in the Canary Islands in the month of July at 6.82 euros per square meter. Regarding the monthly variation, in the month of July the average price of housing in the Canary Islands registers a decrease of -0.4 percent compared to June.
In both Las Palmas and Tenerife, the price of rental housing decreases in the last month, specifically 0.6 and 0.1 percent respectively. The price per square meter of rental housing in the province of Las Palmas is 6.92 euros per month and in Tenerife it is 6.67.
In five of the nine municipalities analyzed by fotocasa.es in the Canary Islands, the price of housing falls in July. The drops range between -2.9 percent in San Cristóbal de la Laguna and -0.7 percent in Arucas. On the other hand, in the remaining four municipalities the price per square meter increases between 0.5 percent registered in Arona and 0.1 in Adeje.
Regarding the ranking of the most expensive municipalities in the Community, Adeje leads with an average price of 7.69 euros per square meter. In second place is Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with 7.57 euros per square meter per month, and in third position is Santa Cruz de Tenerife with 7.02 euros per square meter per month. Granadilla de Abona is the cheapest Canarian municipality to live in for rent with an average price of 5.83 euros per square meter per month.
