The Port Authority awards Puerto Calero the construction and operation of the Arrecife marina for 36 million euros

The Port Authority of Las Palmas has granted Puerto Calero the construction and operation of Puerto Naos in Arrecife. This concession, for a period of 30 years, will involve an investment of 36 million euros.

Puerto Calero was the only company that submitted a bid in a timely manner. The Muelle sports dock will have more than 430 moorings in a total area of almost 100,000 square meters; the project execution period is 15 months.

The president of the Port Authority, Luis Ibarra, explained after the Board of Directors meeting that the Puerto Naos project also includes a "top-level" dry dock for the repair of recreational boats. In addition, a promenade will be built to facilitate pedestrian access to Arrecife for cruise tourists, and commercial areas and swimming pools are also planned in the port area "for citizens to enjoy," Ibarra concluded.
