The latest edition of the Lanzarote Film Festival reached a value of 3,210,633 euros, according to the media impact report prepared by the company Onclusive, a global leader in media measurement and analysis.

Beyond its impact in the media, the Film Festival generated a direct impact on the islands. 72% of the total expenditure of the event was made in the Canary Islands, and of that percentage, 74% remained in Lanzarote.

"The event not only promotes the audiovisual industry, but also involves more than 150 companies, which find in this project a platform for growth and economic stability," explain from the organization. Among them, accommodations and catering businesses, transport companies, technical services and cultural production.

In the words of Javier Fuentes Feo, director of the project: "These data reflect that the Film Festival is not only a space for cinematographic and cultural exhibition that highlights the best of our island, but also an initiative that strengthens and diversifies its economic and business fabric."

"We are proud to know that all the funding from the public institutions of the archipelago has been channeled directly to our islands. And that, in addition, a considerable part of the budget allocated to our territory has been captured outside of it, which reflects the capacity of the project to attract wealth and consolidate the economic and social development of our islands," he added.

The Lanzarote Film Festival has the collaboration of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism, the Society for Foreign Promotion of Lanzarote through its product brand Lanzarote Film Commission.

In addition, it enjoys the sponsorship of the Canarian Institute of Cultural Development (ICDC), the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts of Spain (ICAA), the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, the Government of the Canary Islands, Canary Islands Latitude of Life and the European Union, through the Next Generation EU initiative and the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
