A total of 25 journalists specialized in tourism and from different European countries visited Lanzarote at the beginning of December, with the aim of attending the presentation of the Summer 2012 catalog, of the tour operator ByeBye, belonging to the German group Alltours and, incidentally, to know firsthand the wonders of the island of Los Volcanes.

Thus, between the 4th and 6th of this month, they had the opportunity to visit some of the most emblematic corners and enjoyed excursions to La Geria, Los Hervideros, El Golfo and the town of Haría, in addition to the obligatory visit to the different Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.

"Our collaboration with Alltours is part of the strategy to improve the presence of the Lanzarote destination in the German market, hand in hand with one of the most important tour operators," said the vice president and CEO of Tourism of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Ástrid Pérez.

Alltours is the fourth largest German tour operator and the largest independent tour operator in Germany. In the 2010-2011 season, it increased its turnover by 12.4 percent, to 1,320 million euros, which is 2.4 percent above the forecasts made by the group, which spoke of an increase of 10 percent.

The results of 2010 and 2011 confirm that "this strategy is improving the entry of German tourists to the island of Lanzarote, which, after all, is the ultimate goal," say from the Cabildo.

The ByeBye Catalog for the summer of 2012 is international in nature and includes tourism products from all over Spain as well as other countries such as Portugal, Turkey, Greece or Tunisia.
