The carriers of Lanzarote have followed the same path as the sector in the Canary Islands and have also decided to abandon the strike that they started this Wednesday. The president of the group, Artemio Callero, has communicated to the rest of the carriers what the determination of the Archipelago Transport Board had been, which was held on the morning of this Thursday and in which he was present.
Around 3:30 p.m., Callero went to the lot near the Jardín de Triana, where all the trucks were parked, and met with the carriers. There he explained that a schedule of meetings with the Government of the Canary Islands had been achieved to discuss and debate the tachograph or ITV revisions, among other aspects.
A quarter of an hour later, the carriers made the decision to abandon the strike and took their trucks, which are no longer parked in this Arrecife lot. The strike in Lanzarote has only lasted one day, since it began on Wednesday, not as in the rest of the Canary Islands, which began on Tuesday.
This same Thursday morning, the carriers of Lanzarote have prevented the trucks from leaving the port of Los Mármoles, just as they did on Wednesday. They have only let those who transported perishable products pass.
