The Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Food Sovereignty of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Canarian Institute of Agri-food Quality (ICCA), is once again producing the interactive online guide Regala Agrocanarias, with the aim of promoting wines, cheeses, ciders, and gofios that have won awards in the Official Agrocanarias 2025 Competitions.
To be part of this initiative, physical or virtual stores that sell products awarded in the official Agrocanarias Competitions and wish to participate must complete and submit the form available through the link before November 5 at 2:00 p.m.
Regarding the campaign, the director of the ICCA, Luis Arráez Guadalupe, pointed out that "this initiative is mainly aimed at promoting quality differentiated Canary Island products, but it also represents support for those who are committed to them in their businesses and bring them closer to their customers, facilitating their consumption both on celebratory dates and during the rest of the year."
"The quality of these products is endorsed by the different tasting panels that are part of the Agrocanarias Competitions, and through them we contribute to boosting the local economy and job creation, as well as maintaining our rural environment and our primary sector," added the head of the ICCA.
In this edition, the Regala Agrocanarias campaign is inspired by the island of San Borondón and, through an advertising video based on this legendary territory, establishes an analogy between the exploration of unknown places and the discovery of new flavors in ‘Agrocanarias friendly’ establishments.
In addition to promoting the distinguished products in these competitions through the directory that will be published on the Agrocanarias Competitions website, which will include the store's location, contact information, and available references at each point of sale, this campaign encourages participants to organize promotional events in their establishments centered around these products, as well as to share them on social media with mentions of @concursosagrocanarias and the hashtags #RegalaAgrocanarias and #Agrocanariasfriendly.
All of this will be complemented by various publications through the YouTube channel, Facebook and Instagram profiles, and the Agrocanarias Contests website to increase the visibility of local businesses.
