The El Fondeadero Civic Center in Puerto del Carmen hosted this Thursday the presentation to society of the Business Association of the Commercial Zone of Puerto del Carmen, established on September 16 and integrated into the Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises of Lanzarote (Felapyme). The president of the Promoting Board, Juan Miguel Arias, pointed out that the main objective of the association is to "strengthen and make profitable" the companies.
The process of establishing this new group has had the support of the Tías City Council. Hence, the vice president of Felapyme, Ginés Alonso, thanked the "institutional support". For his part, the mayor, José Francisco Hernández, hoped that this project "will go ahead".
Hernández highlighted the importance of "associationalism" for the municipality, as well as the role of interlocutor that this new association will have as a representative of the business interests of Puerto del Carmen.
The event was also attended by the Minister of Industry, Commerce, Consumption and Energy of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Joaquín Caraballo; as well as Belén Pérez, vice president of the Promoting Board of the Business Association of the Commercial Zone of Puerto del Carmen, which currently has twelve associated companies and plans to proceed shortly to the election of its president and directors as well as to initiate a process of attracting new associates.
