In 2023 the Agrocanarias Fair will be held in Lanzarote. All companies whose activities are related to agriculture, livestock and fishing, as well as gastronomy linked to local products, wineries and craft beers, may participate in the exhibitors of this event, with selection criteria that are taxed in the Master Plan.
This initiative is developed in the Agrocanarias Fairs Master Plan, which derives from the contracting procedure processed by the public company, currently in the phase of receiving offers -until February 24-, with a base bidding budget of 903,785 euros.
An initiative that aims to bring the activity of the primary sector closer to citizens, present local products through gastronomic preparations, promote local products and producers, and improve knowledge of differentiated quality preparations, the conference will be held from Thursday to Sunday. Admission to the Agrocanarias Fairs and the events that are scheduled will be free, with access control.
“Bringing the primary sector closer to the city with the aim that they can know and enjoy the quality and variety of our agri-food productions, in addition to facilitating the commercial activity that represents an opportunity for producers”, highlights Alicia Vanoostende, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Government of the Canary Islands.
In addition, these fairs offer a contact platform between customers and suppliers to generate new business opportunities in a format that will facilitate interaction between operators to promote and sell the Canarian product to visitors directly.
This activity will also be developed in La Palma and Fuerteventura -both in 2023, like Lanzarote-, in Tenerife -in the spring of 2022-, La Gomera and El Hierro -in the summer of 2022- and in Gran Canaria -at the end of this year-.
Each fair will have stands for gastronomy and producers, a market area for the sale of products and stages for outreach activities.
