Fred Olsen officially presented this Friday at the Los Mármoles dock the new route between Arrecife and Las Palmas with the Betancuria Express. An event that was attended by different public officials from the island as well as representatives of business associations.
According to the company, the shipping company "continues to focus on high speed, so the estimated duration of the crossing will be only 3 hours and 30 minutes. Likewise, the passenger market and its needs have been taken into account in the planning of the line, so the schedules will be adapted to offer the best service to passengers and cargo."
The daily departures from Arrecife are at 05:30 and 16:00 hours. On Sundays, taking into account the travel needs on weekends, there will be a single departure at 14:00 hours. And from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria at 10:30 and 21:00 hours. On Sundays, a single trip at 18:30 hours.
In parallel, the shipping company has also conditioned the port facilities to have passenger terminals in the ports of Los Mármoles and Las Palmas, as well as three ramps on land in both ports, which will allow replicating the operation of the rest of the ports in which the company operates.
